We are going to show you how to power up and operate the Tower Beach Bum V2 . This electric bike is one of the best in the market and was recognized as the “Best Cruiser Electric Bike of 2020” by Electric Bike Review.
Powering On
To start and power on the bike, you need to press the power button on the lcd screen on the left hand side of the bike. This will turn on the ebike LCD display which displays the battery life on the top left, the pedal assist level on the top right, and the current speed in the center. The plus and minus buttons will adjust the level of pedal assist, with five being the highest level and zero meaning that it has no assist and will be like riding a regular bike. To access other information and change the main display, you can press the power button to toggle between different display options. It can show the current trip distance, current ride time, overall odometer, full ride time, average speed, maximum speed, and many other useful information.
Main Menu
There is also a menu feature that you can access by pressing and holding the plus and minus button at the same time. This will then redirect and prompt you to enter your password. Out-of-the-box, the default password is “1234”. You can change the password in the advanced settings. Once you have entered the correct password, you will then have access to the basic menu. You can cycle to select any of the menu options by using the plus and minus buttons.
The first option allows you to clear and reset the metrics of your current trip (the ride time and distance) but not the overall odometer. The second option allows you to change between speed units of measures; whether you prefer miles per hour or kilometers per hour. And lastly, the final option is for the slow start. This is an interesting option if you want to feel like you’re riding the bicycle a little bit before the pedal assists starts and kicks in. You can adjust the length of time before the motor will slowly start.
And that's basically all you need to know on how to operate the LCD screen on the Tower ebike. For further information and a more visual analysis on the KD58C display see our electric bike display screen manual.
