Lectric XP Unboxing

We are going to be unboxing the XP folding bike from Lectric. This is one of their more popular models that comes with 20” tires and a plush ride.

Initial Impressions

When we received the package, it was noticeably shorter but slightly wider than the average ebike box. If we are to hazard a guess, this may be because it is a folding bike, and the bike unit itself is folded inside the package and thus allowing them to pack it in a smaller container. The box was shipped out from Arizona. We recieved our order within 7 days from ordering. The box is secured by staples all the way around and it is also taped down. Upon opening, we didn’t find any traces of glue being used on the inside.

Inside the Box

It is evident that the box is very tightly packed inside. It is good to see that there is a significant volume of foam to protect the components. There are smaller boxes inside for the parts box, a bag with a set of tools for assembly, a box with the charger, and instruction manuals. And, as we surmised earlier, the bike unit is packed in its folded position. It’s a little tough to find a good spot on where to grab it to pull it out but we decided to grab on the rear wheels and pull from there. And when we took the whole bike unit out, it was clear to see that the bike was well protected from the hazards of shipping.

It is also nice to find that they give a safety checklist to make sure that everything is good to go when you are assembling this bike. Most ebike companies do not provide detailed handbooks, so it was nice to see. For the next part, we will be assembling the Lectric XP.

As a last note, you should always do regular inspections and tune-ups for your eBikes. It is advised to take it to reputable bike mechanics after the initial break-in period of 100 to 200 miles to ensure everything is running smoothly.
